Bloglines has been the top RSS Reader for a couple of years now . Probably not so much for how great it is, as much as there was nothing else that even came close.
I tried Google Reader a long time ago and could not get the feel for it. It was nice looking, AJAX driven, but very clunky. That has changed.
Google Reader is now a first class RSS reader. I have been using it for about a week and I am already very comfortable with the interface. Like Bloglines it has a split panel with the RSS subscriptions [...]

Steal this idea: Portable scraping The web is full of data. Many, many websites are thin scripts pulling data out of a database, formatting it in HTML, and presenting it in a way that is (hopefully) human readable. In an ideal world these websites would provide an API that would give programmers a way of sucking that information into their own creations. Sadly, banks, libraries, online stores, and other data providers aren't that altruistic. They are only going to provide APIs when their custo
Some days have passed since last J2ME tutorial, so here is a fresh new one! Today we’ll see how parsing a RSS feed with J2me is easy using KXML library, a fast and small XML pull parser, expecially suited for constrained environments like mobile devices. A live sample, parsing the RSS feed of this blog, is available here. The detailed explanation of source code is available on my Forum Nokia Wiki article: J2ME RSS Parser with KXml. If you’re interested only in plain source code, you can pic

Langeweile ist schon was schlimmes…

I wrote this for parsing RSS feeds associated with a SourceForge project. It should be reasonably capable for that purpose; though I do not expect it to be generally robust for handling arbitrary feeds. Reed suggested that this might be generally useful; however, I don’t want to put it anywhere that I might feel compelled to maintain it. So this seems like a good spot. // // Copyright 2008 Braden McDaniel // // This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it // under th
